Jack Parker

Jack Parker’s legacy at Boston University is that of a true icon of Terrier hockey. Over 40 seasons as head coach (1973–2013), he built BU into one of the premier programs in college hockey, amassing 897 wins, winning three NCAA championships, and leading the Terriers to numerous conference titles and record Beanpot victories. His influence extended far beyond wins and losses: he coached dozens of future NHL players and Olympians, helped shape the culture of BU hockey, and mentored generations of student-athletes who went on to successful careers in the sport. In 2025 he became the first Boston University figure inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, a capstone honor that reflects both his on-ice success and his lasting impact on the university and the game of hockey
